With over 100 participants, CIR4 cohort members attended various sessions where they learned how to pick a research question, designed and conducted original, university IRB-approved surveys on topics that mattered, from technology use to global education, health, and more.

What did our Future Scientists do?

For the first six weekly sessions, students collaborated with UNS’ Literary Research Team to formulate a research question, use UNS’ university IRB-approved survey proposal, gather data from participants around the world, analyze the results, and document the entire process in a formal research article.

In the final four sessions, students worked with UNS’ Visual Research Team to transform their data into an engaging infographic poster to showcase their findings to a global audience.

By the end of the program, each student had published both a Research Article and an Infographic Poster in the Spring 2025 CIR Journal
