With over 50+ participants, CIR5 cohort members attended various sessions where they learned how to pick a research question, designed and produced amazing social media posts on topics that mattered, from technology use to computer science, enviroment, and more.

What did our Future Scientists do?

For the first four weekly sessions, students collaborated with UNS’ Literary Research Team to analyze previously published STEAM articles, evaluate experimental findings, and develop their own academic literature review complete with abstract and citations.

In the final four sessions, students worked with UNS’ Visual Research Team to research a STEAM concept of their choice and transform their knowledge into a curated social media post designed to communicate science effectively to a global audience.

By the end of the program, each student had published both a Literature Review and a Social Media Post in the Summer 2025 CIR Journal.
