What did our Future Scientists do?
For the first five weekly 40-minute sessions, students worked with UNS’ Literary Research team to write a literary analysis article detailing a common misconception in STEAM, analyzing how they came to be, what the correct information is, and the impact the misconception has.
For the final three weekly sessions, students stepped into the world of visual storytelling with UNS’ Visual Research team. Through interactive lessons, design challenges, and guided workshops, students transformed their research into eye-catching infographic posters.
The Final session on the ninth week was a symposium, including presentations, future opportunities, and networking.
By the end, every student will not only had a finished infographic and article ready for the Symposium and CIR Journal, but also a set of creative design tools they can use beyond this program.
